Spring has sprung & the weekly stats 1

Whilst spring has sprung, it certainly didn’t feel like it with a cool Sou’ Sou’ Wester blowing straight down upon us. Our temporary lodgings give us no shelter on the steps, hiding behind the wall works though.

The water in close was an icy 15.1C. Out past the cones it was noticeably warmer. After ticking Chris off for being later than the designated 6.30am start time yesterday, I arrived at 6.45am. Karma at work perhaps…

Enjoying the idea of Spring this morning were Louise, Robert, Meg, Linda, Dave U., Chris, Judy, Claire, Robyn,  Janice, Rod, and Pam.

And since I haven’t mapped one of these in awhile, the distance covered was 895m approx.

Quite the relaxed crowd at the beach this morning. Catherine stopped by with a cute little house-guest whose name eludes me. See the photo.

Linda was there but not swimming. Judith and Claire braved the sultry 16.4C water. Still cold to start off with but it soon warmed up. Water visibility is sublime.

Richard jogged past then went in for a quick splash. Chris arrived to take some water shots. We hope his impromptu performance at the markets today went well 🙂

Richard and Sally enjoyed a dip although Richard commented that his ankles screamed in protest. Funny – I get the same reaction when the water temp is around 14C.

A takeaway coffee and a muffin from La Repubblica to finish off a delightful morning. Sitting on the seat near the path, looking straight out to North Head, what could be better than this?!
