There was a massive crowd of almost six Swimming Idiots to enjoy a Dugong Special in the big(ish) wave at Balmoral today. Judy (back from Birthday celebrations in Bawley), Dave S (remember him?), Dave U, Bev and me headed along the beach for Dugong 1 up to the far cone, then out to Belle, post and island before a second Dugong back to the steps. The water felt fine and there were no jimbles today but I think we’ll be happy when things warm up a bit more! Photo of the day goes to Dave’s right foot.
Being endangered species, it is so good to see a pod of them thriving at Balmoral. And even Sir David (the other one) would be impressed with the photography of these beasts in their natural habitat!!!
Very true Louise. I don’t know how Chris manages to carry the camera and kick my a.. at the same time! 🙂

Having paddled around the cones with Matt McG on sat. morning …& RBJ & I separately on Sundee….I can advise the following:-
1. Water temp. is way too low still…..I accidentally fell off without wetsuit & felt the 17-18 degree chilly waters…a 2 in front of the temp is required.
2. Balmoral Belle has changed its’ name to beluga ? True or false ?
3. It’s going to take a long come back to get swim fit again…& look forward to Dave S. accompaniment.
4. Missing you all of course.
5. Glad to be back from Broken head surfing and missing that shark in exactly my surfing spot by a few days.
6. Hello to john (Judy’s hubbie) after we shared a plane trip to L.A. last month.
