A large contingent of idiots headed to The Barrel today via the Cat. In the party were Matt, Tim, Richard, Bevan, Chris, Judy, Dave F.(U), and Dave S. Judy set off first without incident and Tim followed closely behind. An 80 metre head-start was afforded them before the rest of the contingent took off in a relaxed pursuit. Nearing Belle, Dave found oxygen in short supply so he wisely chose to call it quits. The idiots assembled at the Cat then headed to The Barrel.

On my iPhone so unable to use my saved password….the update to your very fine summary is …..all reached the cat – took a small rest & then headed for the barrel. Some idiot raised the idea of going on to Barrel #2 but thankfully was out voted. So it was back to Belle & then straight in to shore from there.
They all arrived safely at the beach!
Also at the beach today in order of appearance was Tony, Phil, James, Linda, Bruce, Josey (did I spell that right?), Joe, Robyn, Ruth, Kirsten, Mike, Mondo, Catherine, Rod, Margo, Bob, John M, Luke, Louise …. I should really write this down at the time… So quite the crowd on the steps.
The storm clouds looked threatening and made for some spectacular photos (if I had a decent camera) with the green sea before it fined up into a hot and humid day. I managed to get a swim in at midday which was also spectacular as was the scenery.
