With a water temp of 18.2C, the desire to don a wetsuit had never been stronger. However Bevan and Chris weren’t having a bar of it and after a little coaxing Dave was in and we were off and racing. Chris chose to explore the stretch of water near the island, Bevan kept Chris company, whilst Linda and Dave tried to swim straight at the post. The return leg suggested by Chris was to swim around “Balmoral Belle”, down to “Miss Ella”, across to “Dave’s pin”, and back in. Dave stopped on the way to “Balmoral Belle” to have a chat with Phil who was returning from Manly on his outrigger. A lift in was a tempting proposition before Dave headed across to Bevan and Chris who were waiting patiently. Linda abandoned Sutho’s safety protocol and may be fined when the committee convenes. The water was murky and a gazillion jellyfish were around the stern of “Miss Ella” to greet us. Fortunately, none of them were in a stingy mood… In case you hadn’t heard, it’s Linda’s birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday Linda!
