For the second day running, the idiots chose to swim around Gwen’s cojones, down to the far pin and back to the beach via the dirty pin. Dave suffered gear failure – a severe cramp in his foot and leg – and chose to swim the shortest route to the beach. Checking his bearings, he realized that he had swum towards the far pin instead. After a course correction and a shout to Bevan (who looked perplexed), Dave took the shortest possible route to the beach. Linda gets a gold star today for swimming back out to the post even though she had completed an 1100 metre pre-swim.
Despite the cold weather, it was a visually stunning scene at Balmoral. Crystal clear water with hues of green thanks to the dark grey storm clouds. Also spotted at the beach this morning were Seasoned Idiots: Warren, Peter, Malcolm, Jim, Rod, Judy M, Sally, Judy, and John M. in a support capacity.
