It was a big turn out for the final Friday round the Island swim before Christmas and the gang included both Katie and Sutho as well as Judy, Stephen, Richard, Dave U and Bev and me. (We won’t mention Judy’s beaching on the way past the Island…)
The gathering for coffee afterwards had a “merry chaos” theme. There was a collision of cheeky rose & coconut slice from Bob, t-shirts, man bags and classy DVD’s/CD’s from Stephen, a designer card for Andrea and Francesco (created by Bob) and an honorary appearance by Ken made it an extra special day for a final Friday coffee before we break up for Christmas. And despite the chaos of collisions, it kind-of worked!
Looking back, it’s been a great year for us lucky band of Swimming Idiots – in Bevan’s immortal words, let’s hope that 2018 is exactly the same.
